Surfside Wall of Hope

On June 24th, 2021 tragedy struck Surfside when a building collapsed and killed 98 people. Our founder, Leo Soto, was deeply struck by the grief his hometown community was going through. Out of this despair, the Wall of Hope Foundation was born. Leo went around collecting flower donations and printing the pictures of the victims to be honored. Every single week a team of colunteers would go back to the memorial site to replace the wilting flowers with beautiful fresh new ones. After it was announced that a hurricane would be impacting Miami, Leo worked with HistoryMiami Museum to meticulously take down and preserve all the parts of the meorial so it could be rebuilt with the community on a later date.
